Sounds like you're getting that out of your college, and that's great!

@Leigh - haha Yes, sir, Mr. Peterman.

@Domey - I actually dig that idea. As a reader I've played around some with context, like the physical setting and even mood of my reading, and it really does transform the experience.

@G'Eagle - Yep, makes things fun, but also hard to predict.

@LT - haha Yes, indeed. I can't turn off my inner analysis either. Not sure if I've gone off on menus before, but I have gone off on fortune cookies.

@Clarissa - Thanks! It amused me, anyway. :)

@Misha - So well said! I hope others read this in the comments, but I think you've made a great point.

@Raquel - Crazy, isn't it? Hard to just turn it off and let stuff go? lolC. N. Back to the point you were making. I sometimes wonder if people get what I am writing for them to read. But then I realize that nothing you ever do will make people understand, since their understanding is based on experiences and thoughts and beliefs that are their own. As such, not even close to how you think.

So the best one can hope for is that his/her work will at least make the reader consider the standpoint taken in the book.Misha Gerrickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06364173848456424521noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3681522276752048718.post-79767054765886519262010-12-09T17:59:39.330-05:002010-12-09T17:59:39.330-05:00Yeah, you're right. It's a playful idea, but it also excites me to think that the overall reading experience could become more controlled.Davin Malasarnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09385823575081492949noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3681522276752048718.post-5276208552886885122010-12-09T10:42:02.204-05:002010-12-09T10:42:02.204-05:00LOL! Now because of college and literature classes I have learned not only how to read a story, but how to make myself better at telling a story. Good luck with your reread I hope it's worth it.Summer Rosshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08122694893668693244noreply@blogger.com
