Forgive the promotional turn, but there's just lots of chances for you to get stuff, and I want to make sure you all know about them!
First, there's just a few more days left until you -- yes, you! -- can have a moment of your life Nevetsized. Check out the details if you haven't heard about it. It will be fun for all of us!
Don't forget that even though you don't personally have to follow the blog to enter the contest, there will be one winner drawn for every twenty-five followers so if thirteen more people are following the blog by the end of the contest, that's two winners not just one. Spread the word!
Second, in celebration of the opening of not only my new website but my own domain for that website (www.nevets-qst.com), I want to let you know that there will be another contest in the blog, announced sometime next week. I'm still sketching out the details, but you'll be rewarded for having read some of the writing posted on the website, including at least one of the flash fiction pieces and the Notes from Underground entry, "I Need This" (on the website as a websclusive).
Third, for newer readers who don't know, or older (*ahem* more experienced) readers who have forgotten, two of my stories were published in Literary Lab's Genre Wars anthology last years: "Death, Be not Me" and "The Best Medicine." See the side bar for links to LuLu.com where you can be $13 print copies and $3 e-book copies of the anthology which features many other excellent writers, including friend of Nevets.QST, Loren Eaton and others.
Fourth, because you've been so patient reading about contests you're prepared for and a book you already own, here are two things to make it worth your while:
- Nevets Factoid: Star Trek V is not as bad as everyone says it is, and PG Wodehouse is a must-read for all authors who want to hone their characterization skills.
- Tidbit about the piece that will go into the Notes from Underground anthology: Stephen Malkmus. 'Nuff said.
.Nevets.
Your friend looks interesting, I looked at his site, I'll look more in detail when i have time. Thanks for posting
ReplyDeleteSo what do I have to do for the contest? I should go read that post again!
ReplyDeleteSummer, definitely do. Loren's a great writer and thoughtful blogger. Well worth your time.
ReplyDeleteMichelle, all you have to do is what you did -- comment on the contest post! :)
