Please stop over at the Literary Lab to congratulate those who have been selected for the anthology in the Notes from Underground contest and to show your support for those who were bold enough to enter a somewhat intimidating contest.
I was fortunate enough to be among those selected and I can't tell you how honored and excited I am. It's unbelievable. I've looked over the list, and it's an impressive list of emerging authors. It's amazing to be part of that group and to be able to contribute something to the end product.
What will I contribute?
You know the invisible hand of capitalism? Yeah, that's me. I mean, it must be. These hands move a lot of money in the course of the day and I don't think one person notices me.
.Nevets.
Congrats Nevets! So happy to see you on that list, I'll look forward to reading what you contribute!
ReplyDelete(a quick aside forgive me I don't have the energy to go looking for your email addy again- sorry I won't be sending in an entry for the Nevetsize contest after all due to my health issues. I'd have loved to see what you did with it!)
Again, WOO HOO! Congratulations!!!

Bru,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for taking the time to congratulate me! I'm sorry you didn't make it, but am sure that your submission was excellent.
Definitely understand about the contest, and I want you to concentrate on getting well.
The good news is this may not be the last contest I hold involving Nevetsizing...
I can't wait to see what you write. This contest has been a lot of fun (for the three judges) so far!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Scott! It was fun (if nerve-wracking) to enter, as well. For what it's worth, there will be a tattoo in the piece.
ReplyDeleteTats! I approve. I have three, you know. I told my girlfriend about the bear and latin motto tat idea, and she said, "You're just joking, right? You're not going to do that, right?" And, you know, the more she resists the idea, the more I want to do it. So huh. We'll see. If I told her I wanted a tattoo of Paddington, she'd not complain. Womens.
ReplyDeleteSemper Marmeladis?
ReplyDeleteI think if I asked my wife about a bear tattoo with a Latin motto, her response would be, "Make it Japanese, and then run don't walk to tattoo parlor."
A Russian bear, a Japanese bear and a Peruvian bear walk into a bar...
ReplyDelete*Snort.* You guys amuse me. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on being selected!
Vinum ursum redit.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks, Jenna!
Congratulations to you too! I am so excited to be included in this group. It's quite an honor. Like your blog, Nevets.
ReplyDeleteCongrats, Nevets!!!! I'm very excited for you and I can't wait to see what you put in the anthology. Much fun indeed. I look forward to the tattoos. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Yvonne and Michelle!
ReplyDeleteI'm excited about what I have planned for the story. And thanks, everyone, for putting up with my virtual pacing in the days leading up to the announcement!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Congratulation to you as well!!! Its an amazing opportunity
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Nevets!
ReplyDeleteI was so glad when I saw your name. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Summer, Aidan, and Tara! I appreciate the encouragement and support! I will do my best to deliver a quality product busting to the seams with grim psychological mayhem and philosophical chaos in a suspenseful literary candy shell.
